Cootehill Medical Centre is located in Cootehill town; No.4 Cavan Road, Cootehill, Co.Cavan
The practice was established on the 16th of September 2011 and provides a wide range of services.
The reception desk is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, closed for bank holidays
The admin team can assist patients with most enquiries. Appointments can be arranged and most of your enquiries can be dealt with by the practice receptionist.

Please remember if more than one family member is to see the Doctor, book individual appointments.
For minor surgical procedures please book a double appointment with the Doctor or Nurse.
EMERGENCIES, WHAT TO DO
A Doctor is always available in an Emergency. During surgery hours, please telephone the surgery before departing – this will help us to help you.
In the event that the patient is too unwell to attend the surgery, the Doctor will attend to the patient in their home.
For out of hours emergencies please contact 1800 777 911
home visits
Home visits can be made to the patients who due to illness are unable to attend the surgery.
Patients are encouraged to attend the surgery when possible where a full complement of medical services is available to patients.
When a home visit is required, we ask that requests be made before 11 am. As time is limited for home visits this helps us to schedule our day.
Home visits are carried out between 12 and 2 pm.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Occasionally your doctor can arrange for your regular repeat medications to be repeated without a surgery consultation.
To request a repeat prescription, fill out our online form by clicking the button below.
Please allow 48 hours notice for repeat prescriptions.
TEST RESULTS
Results of tests taken in the surgery will usually return within 1 week. However, a number of tests will take longer, your Doctor or Practice Nurse will inform you if your tests will take longer.
Please telephone 087 238 1482 for your results, between 2 pm – 3 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only.
Note: Due to the large number of tests taken on a daily basis it is not possible for patients to be contacted individually with results so it is important that you contact the surgery for results.
